Pipeline & Cable Routing
CSR GeoSurveys Ltd. has gained an international reputation for completing comprehensive and high quality hydrographic, geophysical, and geotechnical surveys along proposed and existing submarine pipeline and cable routes. Over the last decade, CSR has completed 24 cable/pipeline routing and inspection surveys for clients in the telecommunications, utilities, renewable energy, and oil and gas sectors.
Using modern equipment, advanced surveying techniques, and the experience of our personnel, we offer routing solutions to local and international regulatory standards. We employ a combination of geophysical tools, such as sidescan sonar, sub-bottom profiler, multibeam echosounder, and magnetometer, coupled with geotechnical sampling, to obtain a comprehensive dataset that will aid in the routing selection, engineering design, and permitting requirements for submarine cable and pipeline installations.
CSR also provides monitoring and inspection services for existing submarine cables and pipelines to ensure the long term integrity and condition of the structures are maintained. Our in-house underwater video system or remotely operated vehicle (ROV) can be deployed for detailed visual inspections of subsea installations.
